Got an NM loaded, swapped the sights, guide rod, grips, mainspring housing, and had the barrel blackened. It scratches the itch for me. |

Just shipped mine to Valor ,it won't be a 100% but it will have the right stuff in it (no mim) and wrong roll marks but it will be a close copy of Gen 2 most importantly it will be built by a 2112 I actually was issued a Ithaca with a hard slide back when some of you guys were possibly still  craping yellow

The situation sucked all around, the 1911 world lost a legend, I lost a gun, etc etc. I was really excited to have the clone, especially after discussing the build with Hobbs. I put the IMPL and Safariland up on EE, but no bites for over a week so I'm guessing nobody else is interested in doing an ICQB clone. I'll take that as a hint that I need to restart the project that I wanted to complete years ago. Do you know of anyone else doing them? I could have sworn MARS was building some but I don't think they're even taking work nowadays. |

Just got my Dan Wesson A2 framed Gen 1'ish build back from David Sams. I'm extremely happy with the work. Here are the specs: New Old Stock USGI Hard Slide, Cage Code: 53397 (Numax Electronics Inc.). NOS Millett front sight / KC Custom rear. KC Custom ambi safety. Colt Commander hammer. Videcki trigger. Wolff Service Spring Pack set. USGI flat/serrated MSH w/lanyard loop.
