I have a Holosun 507c ordered for a Polymer80 PF45 build. What are my options for places that will mill and possibly cerakote my slide? I’ve seen Jagerwerks mentioned in other threads, is that the go to? Should I ask around for a local shop? Not sure if it matters, but it’s a long slide from Lone Wolf I found on EBay.

Stick with a known slide milling shop

Primary Machine

Battlewerx etc..  for simple Glock work battlewerx is quick and good.

Jagerwerks is well respected as well.

There's good local machinists out there for sure, but why roll the dice.

BattleWerx did an excellent job on my G17 for an RMR2... I did not, however, have the slide refinished

Primary milled a 30 for me with cerakote.  My next one will go to them as well.

JagerWerks is #1, but I'd strongly recommend JagerWerks' black nitride over Cerakote (unless you don't want black).

Thanks for all the suggestions, quick turnaround would be nice. I hate getting a new toy then not being able to play with it. I’m still searching for the last few parts to complete the gun, so I could go ahead and send it out now, but I’d like to see if it functions first. Decisions, decisions.

Never thought about nitride. I’m going to look into that.

In the current market I'd just buy a pre-cut slide and sell the one you currently own. That takes your wait from months to days.

That was my plan but I couldn’t find an RMR cut slide for a Glock 21.

IMO, the JagerWerks black nitride is much better than the OEM gen5 finish.  And I wouldn't make turn-around time a priority.    JagerWerks takes as long as they take (4 - 8 weeks plus plus 2 - 3 weeks for black nitride).  You won't be disappointed.

Battlewerx shows 10 days for machine work and 4-6 weeks for machining + refinish. Also a little cheaper, $160 vs $175.

ETA they also offer black nitride finish.

I've got a Glock 34 and a 48 at Battlewerx right now for milling and cerakote.

Madpig Customs does their cerakote work.
