With ARFCOM being almost the largest forum for gun lovers, I am sure many of you have custom handguns in your collection. From small improvements to full on super customs. Lets get a thread started to share your custom handguns.

EDIT: As one of the posters pointed out, please also share, who did the work or from where you got it and what custom work or mods were done to it.

I'll start with one, not mine but loving it at the moment. From the guy at Gledhill Customs.

Can we also say what has been done to it and who did the work?

Here is one of mine.

Magnaport custom S&W M25-2 .45 ACP.

It was stock when I bought it 30 years ago.  Owner said he did a trigger job.  He butchered it.  The hammer would push off with your thumb when cocked.  I gave it to Magnaport and they did all.the work.

6.5" barrel cut to 4" and ported
Egg shell blue job
Magnaport action job
Numbered chambers
Beveled chambers
Polished and narrowed target trigger
Polished target hammer
Rounded cylinder latch

The grips are an old set of Herrett's that I widdled down for my small hands.

Some people will say this isn't a custom gun but whatever it's the best i can do. What's different from a standard WC CQB Elite: Front night sight, Fluted chamber, Round butt magwell, Ball endmill cuts on slide, Flush cut reverse crown muzzle, I also had them put the trigger as close to 3.5# as possible. Paint scheme is personal to what you want but i did have to specify i wanted my barrel bushing in black as well.

I don't know.

I've been calling them a 17K for a long time.

I made the first one 13 years ago and have carried one almost continuously since.

Back when I bought it, about $3300.00, now I think a similar one from Luke is about $4500.00

That's entering one off territory from some good Smiths. Hard to get on their list though.

Did you have Mark build that or did you buy it already done?

Back in the early 90’s I had him do some work on one of my colts when I was shooting USPSA.
He was living in Spokane at the time and a few of the guys in our club recommended him, I was living in Montana and drove it over and met with him.

Came into it secondhand.  I doubt it had been shot after it came back from him.

You should have kept it. Super beautiful. Did you buy direct from Mr.Yost or sent your Hi-Power for custom work?

Competition.  I already had some Limited guns but I wanted one of the new steel frame models.  I dropped by the shop/factory when I was in Grand Prairie and Brandon showed me the different grip styles they had.  I'm glad I could handle them in person, because one or two were a lot sharper than I'd want.

How about custom grips

Model 681 with extensive mods

Model 581 with similar treatment

And finally a Hi Power that I added a beavertail and stippling to. Also some C&S parts. Gunsmith installed the Heinies.

Sent it in and I think they had the pistol for months, maybe a year before they could work on it.  Believe me, if the real estate market hadn’t fallen through the floor on 07 I’d still have it.
