Especially with that kind of grip shape (many do change to more modern grips but that's when I don't like those revolvers anymore - to me it's gotta stay old time classics). I can definitely feel the recoil with that small of a handgrip you know. Not my thing, I am happy to have other .45ACP in semiauto that feel more manageable (my favorite of all times is my HK45C and HK45, for example). I apologize if that came across like... well I'm guessing you already knew what a tyler t grip was. Sorry about that. They are gorgeous without them and I hear ya. I would love a Victory someday, or maybe even settle for an older M&P. I'm not sure I'd be man enough to shoot the 1917. LOL. Maybe someday I'll get to try one.
My grandpa was a sgt in WWII and died in france and more than likely he just had a Garand, or carbine. Or Thompson. And maybe a 1911. But who knows. I've not seen many pics of revolvers on 2nd ID guys, but I like to think it's possible. |

| I wasnt intending on purchasing a revolver while looking for something else. But something caught my eye and had to touch it. Havent been interested in revolvers in over 30 years and putting my hands on it just to look gave me the bug to purchase. I ended buying a sw 686-6 plus talo in a 3 inch for $650 new in box. Staying away from shooting revolvers for so long i think back and wonder why. This just feels good in hand and shooting 357's and 38's was a fun change. Now i am looking at other revolvers to fill a collection i had no interest in for too long. Cant wait to get out and shot the 686 again ?. Now to figure out how to post an image of it to share. |

And the best part... It was first in the third series...

I got this agency heavy barrel Model 10-8 last week. Replaced the Hogue grips with the pictured Sile grips. Carried a lot, pristine bore. Perfect truck gun.
