Anybody ever wipe their pistol down with action cleaner? I did recently and it seems to have ruined the finish on my glock slide. The following picture shows 2 glock slides that looked the same before wiping it down with action cleaner. Is there anyway to restore the black finish?

Try applying some CLP Breakfree.
What you're seeing may just be dry metal and a lube will restore the appearance.

Yeah just rub some oil on it.


If that’s just the spray rem branded gunscrubber it did not hurt your finish.
