I have a Glock 19 that I would like to be able to carry OWB with a insight M6 light and laser mounted.

Apparently this light been discontinued, but it looks like a Streamlight TLR-2 would be very similar.

Anybody have any holster suggestions?

gcode holsters are nice if they make one that fits your light. I have a xst g19 no light holster on my battle belt. Edit: I checked they make the soc holster and you can get a light cowl that fits a tlr2

Active retention for open carry, or just passive retention for concealed carry?

IMO Safariland is the gold standard for active retention, and their holster finder tool shows they support the Insight M6.  https://safariland.com/pages/holster-finder

If you just want passive retention, I'd say sell the M6 for a TLR7 or TLR8, and then get a Raven Perun.

He told me he was too busy making holsters for all of us which was interfering with his day job so had to cut back on advertising.

Is the M6 close to the TLR7 or 8?

I don't believe so.  Looks more like a TLR-2

I guess that's a good thing then?

I know one of my coworkers has been carrying with one of his holsters for a couple years, and I got one from him for my SP-01. Sadly, it's going to get retired when the leather one gets here in a few months, because I'm switching to leather, but it will stay in the holster stack as long as I have the gun.

Lenwood holsters has a really good selection of holsters with many options for lights. If they don't have it they will make it

id give Werkz a really good look. I ordered their M7 for my G17 with an Olight and have been very happy. Only knock is it sits wide on the belt. Similar to a duty holster but for a light bearing full size gun, its pretty average.

I've been happy with Black Point Tactical for OWB holsters.  Just about to order another one for a Shadow Systems MR920 with a TLR7A.

I have one of these for a 17 without a light. I have not carried it but have worn it around the house a bit. I like it but it seems a bit tight, with the adjustment screw almost all the way down it's still a bit of a tight draw.

I think the point is that the TLR-7 fits the smaller profile of the G19 much better (way less bulky) and is brighter than the M6.
TLR-8 is the laser/light version of the TLR-7.

That said, for unconcealed OWB safariland is the gold standard, and with that bulky of a holster the extra bulk of the light won't make much difference, and I greatly prefer the switches on the TLR-1/2 to the TLR-7/8.

I ended up going the route of a leather holster from Falco.  Almost every suggested company in this thread did not list a M6/Glock19 option on their website.
I have never owned or handled a kydex holster and don't know how forgiving they are of slight size discrepancies meaning I couldn't determine if a kydex made for a tlr2 would fit the slightly different M6

Here is the holster I got.  For the price, it's pretty decent.

I have a Fobus paddle style that seems to work ok.

Do yourself a favor and buy a TLR or x300.  Not only is it vastly superior, more holster options are available.

Avoid injection molded holsters like Fobus and Perun, they're shit.
