So I got a gen3 Glock19 slide from a buddy that has been milled for an RMR. does anyone know if anyone makes conversion plates to allow for other optics on the slide besides just an RMR? for example a cover plate that can allow a Vortex red dot?

Probably, but you should find out what optic it was originally cut for, or if they used a plate as well.

I can't help you with the conversion plate,
but the Holosun 507C is the same mounting
dimensions at the RMR. The 507 retails for
$299. I have 6 dual RMR's, and I just bought
a 507. I haven't gotten to shoot with it yet, but
I like it. The 507 looks beefier than the RMR's.

YMMV

good looks man. i'll look into those. I just don't feel like dropping $500 on a dot.
