I am looking for a belt system for my wife and I, for use at the local range.
No competition use at the moment, but just a easy to use and wear system. Preferably with a inner belt with velcro, and an outer belt / cobra that easily attaches to the inner belt. For my wife, I would suspect that a non stiff setup would be preferred. We would be attaching a holster, and a few mag holders. Via a OWB Quick Clamp adjustable 2.25 system. So, some of my questions , rigid or not ?.. and why , please. 1.75" or 2.0" ... and why ? And the whole waist measurement "thing" seems to be dubious, Lol I am interested in the ESSTAC line... good , bad ? They seem to be well respected. Sorry for these basic questions, but I have never bought a strictly range belt . I have other setups, for more serious times. Any suggestions will be appreciated , and Merry Christmas to all ! |

If your wife wants a non-stiff belt I have an older HSGI in coyote I'd sell ya for cheap.
Back on topic. I had a Blue Alpha Gear belt that was fantastic other than trying to adjust it between winter and summer set ups. (It was a pain to adjust!) Someone recently suggested a Kore battle belt and it's awesome! Basically the exact same set up as the blue alpha belt but has the rachet system for ease of adjustment. Screw that hanging everything atop your buttcheeks and balls.
We’re not in uniform and presenting for inspection. Cheap shoulder bag instead.  Attached FileIf you get into a game that requires some sort of special equipment, get whatever the guy who is winning, and who isn’t getting DQ’d for some sort of rules/procedures is using. |

You want the belts to be rigid. Estaac is the easiest belt to set up on the market if you choose to go the Velcro One Wrap route.
