I mounted a Holosun 507K X2 on my TX22 Compact and the screws won't stay tight. When I initially took the cover off, I noticed that the bosses were vestigial and the optic had a gap between its rear and the back of the cut. The mounting screws also had barely any engagement. But, I followed instructions and then let the Loctite cure for about 36 hours. Today, I fired 200 Minimags and the screws would be loose after I shot through both mags. Tightened them and they shot lose again. When I got home, there was deformation at the rear of the bosses and the screw holes consistent with the optic moving rearward during recoil. It looks like it needs a plate(apparently no one makes this) and screws that are twice as long...has anyone else dealt with this? |

If you happened to grab 6-32 screws they kinda sorta seem to work but will shoot loose quickly. You need M4 screws, M4x12 is what I used on my compact IIRC. None of the optics cuts on my TX 22's were proper size front to back... they all have a fair amount of gap between the slide cut and optic so the bosses are heavily relied on... |

This is what I was going to say. You'll see that I posted in that thread. I was able to get mine to work with M4 screws from the hardware store. Now, they came 10mm long, which is too long. I was able to grind down the right side one to about 8mm in length, and it worked (hardware store didn't have any 8mm long M4 screws and ordering hardware online is a often a pain). If you can find them, or already have some, that are 8mm long, start with those. |
