I have a 2006 NIB colt P1850 that I need to sell.  What should I expect to get for this?
Colt SAA P1850
5.5" barrel, 45 colt blue/color case finish
Model P
Sn# S428XX

I have a gun broker account so should i sell it there given it's cost?   I have only ever bought a single gun on GB.

Beautiful. I’m interested to know what you list it for!

I’ve bought some over the last few years. It really depends on who’s bidding and how many are on GB at the time, like any auction. Sales price would probably be anywhere from $1600 to $2500. If you were to list it on a forum, $1750 would sell quick, $2200 may sell but it may sit for a long time. Good luck!

Ok so what is the difference in this GB auction and what I have?  Is it just someone over paying on GB?   The sale was last month.

Here is another completed sale.

Pretty wide swing between those two. But, as noted, depends on the auction and who’s buying.

Yeah $2800 vs $2300.  Looks like the GB fees are about 10%.

The one that went for less was an older gun.

Yours should have a removable cylinder bushing and was built in an era  of better quality than the earlier 3rd gens.

If you list it here I bet you could get $2K for it easily and won’t have to pay gunbroker fees.

Being a 5 1/2” barrel makes it less desirable than a 4 3/4” or 7” so price fluctuates more.

You’re correct in the popularity of the 5 1/2” being less than the 4 3/4 or 7 1/2”, even if I personally like the 5 1/2” better as a shooter.

If you list it here let me know, I really want one.

I don’t need it and can’t afford it but if it was a 4 3/4” I would have already bought it because I only have 4 4 3/4” SAAs.

As a side note: how do you ship a pistol any more?  It appears there is not a common carrier that will accept one from an individual.

It's become a pain around my area. I just pay my ffl to do it.
