I have played paintball every other weekend for 6 years.  When people are shooting at you, you crouch and you move.  If you don't, you die.  This training was infinitely better than the approximately 10 shooting school courses I took.

I have still some serious PTSD from all those paintball matches in the 90s.

Lost allot of good friends back then when I stopped playing

Still haunts me to this day

Observation I have and question for proficient dot shooters - does the window size really matter to you?

I've shot all types of dots over the years and have RMRs on my G19s.  What I've found is while the bigger windows in the DPP/SRO/etc are nice to look through, I can't say it's faster.

I've found the standard sized windows (RMR, Holosun, Burris fast fire, etc) to be sufficiently sized and that for the dot to be outside of the RMR window, you have to have an unacceptably bad sight picture (check your irons sight picture your pistol when the red dot is moved outside the window). While a bigger red dot window gives you more real estate, your area "on target" is the same and all you gain is being able to see the dot at more extreme "off target" angles.

Presentation being the same, is the extra space really needed? For these reasons I found the holosun with the Vulcan ACSS reticle non-beneficial, with the exception being shooters having issues finding the dot.

For a visual check out the irons alignment relative to the dot proximity to the target or RMR window.

I havent shot my larger window yet.  But, my thinking was that the larger window would allow for easier corrections if my presentation was off.  Ex.  you  can be more off and still see where the dot is in the window, and can correct faster without the fishing wrist.    Also, I feel like it would allow the dot to be tracked a little easier during recoil.
may have to try the echelon perfection

I like those switches on the Glock because the trigger guard is much shorter and my support thumb and Triggerfinger are easy to activate where as the rocker switches are super cramped, but I think for a gun with a longer trigger guard like that one the rocker switches would be better.

How much muzzle flip does that have compared to the G 19?

I agree about the rocker switches. I’m used to the Surefire…

Recoil wise, I can’t feel a perceivable difference between the G 19 and the PDP.  However, the PDP feels very good in my hand. That saying something for somebody that has carried a Glock since the early 90s.

Worked with 2 new / low skill shooters yesterday.

One of them in particular was only making C/D zone hits at 7 yards (with almost none in A zone and no confidence - "I suck at shooting").

After we worked on proper grip/trigger pull and used snap caps mixed with live ammo to illustrate his undiagnosed recoil anticipation, he was able to keep all his hits in a 3 inch circle @ 7Y with his Gen2 G19.

I then let him shoot my G5 G19 with RMR and Glock Performance Trigger - and he was pinging reduced C zone steel at 25Y (big smiles). We were not really working on speed but both his cadence and accuracy were better with the dot.  He did jerk a few shots but remarked that he was aware of it because he saw the dot jerk (he was not aware of his flinch with irons).

He left really excited about his improvement and knowing what he needs to work on.

I think I only shot 50 rounds over a several hour period but I really enjoy helping people short cut the years and years I wasted sucking at shooting and trying different guns and making excuses for why I sucked.

Yes. You just use it for both sealing and battery contact

Your optic overhangs the sealing surface,  yes.

As previously answered, RMR is wider than the G17/19/45/47 slide, without a sealing plate, the gasket and battery under the sight would be exposed, you need one.

Lowest, would be direct mount. Are all the mos the same? I know on the 43x you can shave the rear posts completely and shave a smidge from the front ones and it will direct mount.
