Love the 6 second mounts. They’re super cool. |

Looks like it had a top load battery and forward facing light sensor. Sorta meh honestly. Standard RMR type 2 is a tank / awesome |

This Boomer has always had problems with RMR equipped pistols due to too many years with iron sighted 1911’s. Until Friday. The Echelon that I handled just popped up ‘right’ for me and it was a WOW epiphany moment for me. Picking one up tomorrow to join the Kool Kids. |

Obviously time will tell, but I have no qualms with an open emitter. |

Open emitters are fine for range work, competition, even concealed carry. The problems of an open emitter for duty/combat use is getting your rear lens obstructed or the emitter blocked. Snow, slush, rain, mud, leaves, whatever. Seen many a RMR packed full of snow during cold weather operations training. |

Originally Posted By Castillo: Yes, I totally agree. I agree with you for CCW it likely doesn't matter either way. If I carried a pistol with exposed optic in war zone I'd prefer a P2 myself, although you see in the g19 in SF thread that a lot of cool guys been using RMR and DPP on open carry pistol setups i will now concede I'm basing my comments on thoughts but you have experience - so I'm not saying you're wrong either

As they should be with all weapons. |

Trijicon Enclosed emitter optic. FWIW, I won't be getting one as I think the RMR type 2 is peak open emitter and more than sufficient for CCW. If I ever did see the need for an enclosed emitter, I'm not sure this RCR would be on my short list. Uses same RMR footprint and, uh - interesting screws. Same deck height top load battery (so what) ETA these screws won't work with threaded post screws like Battlewerx uses Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I like it far better compared to my 507k This is something that, from a biological and neural signal processing perspective, makes no sense. Why is 6 MOA the "proper" dot size? There's no reason that your eye cannot pickup a pinpoint of light (infinitely small) compared to a 6 MOA dot, so long as the same number of photons are reaching your eye. Therefore, all a 6 MOA dot does is obscure more target area. What am I missing? |
Well, well, well. How the turn tables...
