I want to put optics on both my P30 guns but it looks very costly. Some as much as $5-600. I am wondering if I should just buy a VP9 that is optic ready and call it a day?
Opinions?

It’s only money. You’ll make more. Go for it! Forget all the silly plates and stacking tolerances!

I haven’t tried one yet but I’m getting this for my P30s just to try it out, it might be too tall but not insane, and for 5-600 dollars I’ll deal with it lol
I have a P30 and went the VP9OR route because I'm only going to use it for gaming.

That looks interesting. With optics, I don't find height to be an issue when shooting.

That mount looks interesting. Curious to see how the dovetail holds up with the added weight/fulcrum over time.

Like the guy upthread said, it's only money. Or at least thats what I keep telling myself.

I've since had the pistols milled but while waiting in queue I had a 1911 and VP9SK dovetailed for optics with the EGW mounts.
They work, period. Ugly? Yes. More height over bore than I'd like? Yes. But in terms of bottom line they work.

Can all P30’s be cut for optics? I thought I read something that said some P30’s couldn’t be done. Something about the underneath of slide was different on some models of the P30.
