An older Rock River 1911 is on a local for sale board. Its like this one

I'm interested and curious to hear any opinions you may have. I like the non beavertail frame, checkerd front strap, and low mount adjustable sights. Really don't need another 1911 but this is seldom up for sale and I've wanted one for years.

I have Friends that bought the RRA 1911’s and they all liked them.  The RRA 1911’s back in the early to mid 90’s were pretty much Top Tier for a production gun.   Several Officers bought them and they were pretty picky and rarely sold them because they were very good 1911’s.   I’ve only seen a couple in person and if I could’ve afforded one I’d liked to have had one.

The plan is to meet up Saturday. This one has a curved mainspring housing which I prefer.

They are sought after pistols.
