Geebus....who would have thought that it would have been this hard to find a 9mm striker assembly?
Finally found one in stock today. Now all my parts are complete and now I wait for the slide to be cut for the optic. |

Just curious what you guys are running for loads in your RS/Faux Specials? I reload for USPSA Production/PCC/Carry Optics. I know that in the case of Open guys in USPSA that they really pack the case.
I'm running 3.0 grains of Titegroup and a 147gr bullet. |

The RMR has the saddle like top, so measurement from the top of the RMR to the top of the kydex hood is around 0.5in. How wide is the DP Pro? http://i630.photobucket.com/albums/uu24/TheHiddenMan/Mobile%20Uploads/20170421_171112_zpsgacl8o1h.jpg There appears to be plenty of height clearance. The DPP is thinner than the RMR where the battery compartment is, but the lens is slightly wider. It appears clearance would be close on the sides, but I might be able to finangle things. Edit: DPP at it's widest point is around 1 and a quarter inches |

welp, just got back from the range with some 124gr speer lawman hoping that my little fauxland 17 would run with the tbrci micro comp....
Previously i got it to run on 115gr american eagle by using an 11lb recoil spring and 5lb striker spring. But i didnt like using that light of a recoil spring. Felt like every time i did a press check i had to push the slide forward. Didnt like that. Put a 13lb spring back in there and ran this speer lawman. One handed it jammed pretty much every time. Very strong two handed grip it jammed 20% of the time. 135gr +p hornady and it would cycle great even one handed. Not wanting a picky glock i opted to take the comp off as soon as i got home buuuutt both set screws immediately rounded out, or my allen key did. Alsp noticed that the comp had started to unscrew from the shooting session. Ill pick up a new allen and a torx bit tomorrow, but this little experiment is going to the EE. I'll go back to shooting it without a comp. |

Finally got my Roland'ish G19 together and had some range time yesterday. Build is as follows:
Agency G19 w/15lb spring SiCo barrel Primary Machine Stealth Comp Ameriglo Sights and RMR I ran Freedom 115, Tula 115, Lawmen 124, Freedom 147 and Federal 147 with no real issues. There was a difference in recoil pulse with the 124 and Tula 115 as they are hotter rounds than the rest. The Freedom and Federal 147's were an absolute pleasure to shoot with damn near no recoil at all. The only hiccups of the day were during the first 2 mags of 115gr I had two stovepipes. After that it was smooth sailing for approximately 750 rounds the rest of the range time. I'm more than happy with the setup and Primary Machine comp. Now I just need to figure out how I can conceal this bad boy... Was running it in an ALS DO holster during my range time which works great for this system as a duty/battle belt holster. I had brought my factory RSA but never needed to try it out as the gun just ran so well during the day. One day I'll toss it in just to see if there is any difference but I doubt I'll need it. PS, since I occasionally run my Omega 9k on my Glocks I didn't want to use Rocksett. I just used blue loctite on the barrel threads and set screws. |

In other news, was able to run the new and improved TBRCi Micro Comp V3 at a pistol class where I was originally gonna only use a stock glock (and PMC 115 gr which always choked my V2 equipped variant) Great news! Either the RSA has lost enough strength so that it can feed 115 gr reliably now, or the V3 comp's revised ports are now allowing 115 gr to run reliably. During the class, folks had mixed opinions about the comp and it's value added. It has OBVIOUS value added to anyone who shoots it: makes a Glock 19 feel like a low recoil 9mm 1911 or 2011 style pistol. Only real point of contention is, whether or not it's worth the cost and extra gas when you shoot from retention etc. I did very well shooting a stock Glock 19, even at distance... but yeah, there is no denying a Fauxland/Roland Special makes pistol shooting even easier... and more importantly, enjoyable. https://scontent-sea1-1.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/e35/18013396_298626777239573_8770283000358240256_n.jpg |

I think at the very least the plate doesn't cause problems and costs less than the Trijicon plate... so we'll see! The RMR I just got back on ATEi had a truly beautiful curve/bend added to it. I'm 300 rounds in on my KKM comb/barrel. I use to run a zev/tbrc combo. Sold the TBRC for shits n giggs then bought the KKM combo shortly later cause I can't stop fiddling with shit.
There is a difference in feel between the two. The KKM is the OG for a reason IMO. Recoil is even more non existent than with the TBRC. Also, the milled flats on the KKM barrel significantly helps with installation. Torqued the set screws, didn't loc tite anything yet because I wasn't sure how my stock RSA would handle the KKM comp, 300 rounds and the screws didn't loosen or spin at all. my KKM and g19 ran perfect with a plethora of ammo. I'll add a drop of loctite to each screw and continue to carry my roland special with confidence. This thing is a laser beam and the roland special is the tits. |
|
For those looking for a smaller option that DOES NOT use set screws or loctite, check out the new carry comp that Mayhem Syndicate partnered with S3F Solutions on.
I got in on the first batch and ordered two, which should be here late next week. They come as a complete package, as the barrel is proprietary and has super short threads to accommodate how small the comp is. What is think is best, is that the comp is secured by a push pin. There's video on their IG showing a side-by-side with the Agency Arms NOC (also a single chamber comp), and the Mayhem comp seems to work as well, if not better than the NOC. S3F/Mayhem Comp
