It might require some trial and error. I got lucky and cheap SA work fine.

I have a magnum research as well, It feeds from any magazine I have thrown at it. With that said I do prefer
Wilson combat magazines for my other 1911s.

Absolute best are Tripp Research. Spendy, but buy one or two, and see how those do. Plenty of cheap 1911 mags will run great in a Government size frame, but it is nice having Tripps on hand to determine if problems you are having are mag or ammo related.

I have 11 1911s.  From a 1918 vintage 1911 to Kimber to an Ed Brown.  I have had and used numerous different 1911 mags.  I use Wilson Combat 8 round mags exclusively.

I surprisingly have had problems with the Chip McCormick mags I have.

Ed Brown mags work good as well, but Wilson is the king.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but I'm liking Wilson Combat magazines.

The 47Ds wear out faster if your using 8 rounds. They use the same tube and spring as the 7rd 47s.

The 47s and the etms are gtg. I use 47Ds but only load 7 rounds

The ETM mags paired with a extended magwell is my jam (figuratively speaking).

Prefer the Chip McCormick's but the Wilson's are very good also.  I own both in 10 round flavor
