I think a lot of people are used to thinking of PA as a "budget" optic brand, and this looks to be a U.S.-made entry into the higher end professional market. Made in the U.S.A. makes it eligible for government purchasing too (I'm not sure how many law enforcement agencies are restricted to buying only U.S. products). Keep in mind also that you're saving anywhere from $75-$200 by not having to buy suppressor height sights and likely a mounting plate. Quoted: $584.99 for me. You might not know enough about the technology and building materials/processes involved. The emitters, circuitry, lens coatings, power regulation, and lots of other aspects involved require R&D, testing, and production (with tight tolerances). And this being Made in America raises the costs of ALL of that. |

There is no LED sandwiched in there. |
