Long story short, wife’s uncle asked me to help him ID this PP for him. The usual WW2 story that it was taken off of a German soldier following a hand to hand combat situation. Looking at the pistol, it’s possibly old enough to fit the bill from a cursory search on the web. Any information anyone can provide is appreciated. Magazine serial number matches.

Looks like from the serial number, it is a 1940 production.
