Yes. You will need screws for full thickness grips and do not over tighten.

If they're too long, file them until they are not. I don't see how one screw length could work for either thickness grip without being too long for the slim grips. Use o-rings too. Buy #60 Danco at Home Depot or any that are 1/4" OD X 1/8" ID, those will have a 1/16" wall thickness.
