My first visceral reaction was that bolt is buttery smooth, trigger was light, but not liking the hogue grips. Hoping I get to pick it up later on the week. |

Never tried a full VQ gun but I put their accurizing kits on all my MKIVs.
I've been eyeballing the Summit rifle from them as well. |

I'm happy with their work, I bought a MK III cutdown upper with open sights. Mac had a quick response and easy to deal with. I would recommend them.

I got an e-mail back from Jason about lead time.
All XBARS are built to order. I’m currently finishing up all XBAR orders placed in May. Then I’ll go June, July and then August. So that puts it around 12-14 weeks. |

Just got my mkIII upper from him. He had the upper done quite a while ago but the volquartsen frame was backordered forever. So far it is running 100%. It was pretty gummy at first as the bolt burnished the cerakote in the upper, but after cleaning and relubing it's feeling good now. I did have to adjust the trigger screws for a failure to reset after a few mags, but that certainly isn't the uppers fault and pretty normal for a "match" trigger.
