The MAB Model D pistol is the French version of the FN Model 1910 pistol. It was produced in 7.65 mm and 9 X 17 mm. Many were imported into this country as surplus, while others were brought back by returning WWII G.I.'s.
The Unblinking Eye  website has a detailed history of this pistol in all of it's variations.

Found couple of them in 7.65mm in Baghdad in 08'.
