I have a mid 80's IIRC Model 60. Is it okay to shoot limited amounts of +P ammo?

One of the most common duty loads for that gun of that era was a 158gr LSWCHP +P, so I don't see why not...

Any S&W .38 Special revolver with a model number stamped on the frame in the crane area will be good to go with +P ammo.
