My dad's first backup gun model 60 bought in the early 70s. Has bang bang engraved on one side of the barrel and adios on the other side. He was in a number of gunfights with this gun.

My Dad's 2.5" Model 66
My 442 And my Model 19, both of mine were my step Dad's. This one was a CHP service revolver. The other is one he bought in 2013. When he passed away I bought the 442 from my Mom and she gifted me the Model 19 I've got a metric ton of other peoples Smith and Wesson revolver pics. But if you start looking, they're out there. Nice set of revolvers. Just a minor correction if you will. That Model 19 from DoS was a DS gun, not a DSS gun. DSS is purely the investigation arm of DS. Firearms carriers are Special Agents.
DS itself is the entire bureau. Now I think it's up to about 25,000 people. Lots of folks that are involved in security, but not criminal investigation. Now, back when we were issued Model 19 S&W for agents, it was a 2 1/2 inch blue guns. The long barrels were issued to uniformed DS security and overseas security functiions. So, it' still got great history, but it's a DS not DSS gun. I wish I could have bought my issued Mod 19 when we converted to Glock Mod 19. But no such luck. Then we ditched the Glocks and went Sig in a few months, and couldn't buy the Glock either. Anyway, you're closer than I am to an actual DS gun than I am. Again, nice collection. Quoted:

Wait .. wait.. wait.. We need to see the heavily engraved revolver. You can't bury that bad boy way in the back... Put that beauty in a response all of its own please ?

629-2 625-8 Model 69 Combat Magnum The 69 in a simply rugged silver dollar pancake holster is a dream to carry. Ridiculously accurate and soft shooting with 44spl or light 44 mag loads. |

I have a couple that belonged to family.
One is a 38 that belonged to my great uncle that ran a corner grocery with my aunt. He carried the 38 in his front pocket on the way to the bank and kept it at his bed side at night. The 32 belonged to my paternal grandmother. She kept it under her pillow every night, so I was told. My dad liked the tell the story of her threatening a man with it once after he tried to scam her out of money. She ran a corner grocery also. Long story on the scam but she had it cocked, had her finger on the trigger and was pointing at the mans face. He got lucky. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

A t grip with the current grips and call it a day. If my hands could handle the recoil, that's what I'd do. But I've never shot a .45 revolver...... But man that thing is gorgeous. That's nickel, right? I didn't think they made it in stainless.

Those are purdy. I don't recommend normal magnas new from smith and wesson. I bought some for a K frame and they're kind of flat. They don't look too bad but there's not barely any curve to them, like an older set.
