1974, non-lug, commercial P38. Made at the same time as the P1, but didn't feature P1 enhancements. Not to be confused with the original, early e-series (e=export), these were pure German domestic P38s with the serial number and "e" added to the frame by the importer (Century) to meet US requirements - originally, these only had a serial number on the slide. It will join my ac43 and 1977 P1. I just need a P4 to round things out.

After the G.D. thread talking about them, I finally decided to get one. I got the complete upper from Canto Arms, along with the grip. The grip is much nicer than the CMMG and at a better/more comfortable angle. Now to get some mags and figure out what sight/optic to put on it. My son says I gotta get the offset optic mount. I think CDNN was a little cheaper but I didn’t want to go through the headache and wait of getting my FFL’s info on file with them for a couple dollars. Have to do GAG’s “grab a quote” to get it cheap though. |
