I'll be getting my new Shield Plus OR tomorrow and went to my favorite holster maker, Bianchi, to get a holster for it.

Well, to my shock and anger, they have NOTHING!

Non-OR Shield holsters, they have but what does that do me?

So, now I'm on the hunt for a decent, not $200 and more holster.

Anyone know who makes a decent leather holster?

Googling it only brings up kydex.

Recommend  Tucker Gun Leather and/or  Tucker & Byrd.

I have several of the HF-1, Texas Short Strokes (for Red Dots), IWB Tuckables, etc.  They make quality and do recommend.

A lot of Galco 3 slot holsters accommodate optics.  Not foolproof though.

Usually kydex is best for the modern plastic striker fired guns because the trigger area will remain stiff and the same. If you go leather make sure it's a high quality holster. Not a flimsy cheap leather holster. Milt Sparks is probably what I would recommend.

I hate fucking kydex holsters.

Leather..OWB. Belt slide type. Galco or DeSantis if no optic.
In general most any holster that fits the corresponding Glock will fit a shield.

With Optic it becomes a bit more challenging.
I ordered an optic specific one but it fit like shit. The optic bottomed out on the cut out before the frame seated completely.
I just made "more" relief cut myself. Took about 15 minutes.

Wright Leather Works makes a quality holster, I have one for my regular Shield Plus, couldn't be happier with it. They also make one for the OR model $135

The grip is the only area that differs from the Plus to the original, and since that's outside of the holster, it means the Shield Plus can utilize any holster designed for the original Shield.

That should GREATLY simplify your search, as the Shield has LOTS of holster options.

I'd recommend a Hybrid (Kydex around the gun - means you can reholster the pistol and as others have pointed out it protects the trigger (important on a striker fired pistol) but you have leather or other soft comfortable surfaces next to you.   Alien Gear, Minotaur (comp-tac), & others come to mind.

Best of both worlds - protect the trigger & ability to reholster+ comfort & flex that Kydex against you doesn't provide.

Hope this helps!

@ClanDireWolf

EDITED - it may be that I missed your main issue - that you are looking for a holster that accommodates a RDS on your ShieldPlus.
