Sweet I love 357 sig but can't justify getting one

You'll love it.  In 2008 we switched over to gen3 31s.  In 2012 I got four gen4 31s in to test.
In 2018 we switched everyone over to gen4 31s.
I'm retiring in 2023 or 2028 or 2031 and we will still be issuing the 31 until after I am gone.

They can get whatever they want after I leave.

I have had a model 19 9mm for many years as well as a Para Ordnance P 14 45 and  ZCZ 52 in 7.62 x25 but wanted to upgrade to what I saw as a logical improvement to a working handgun. The Glock is tough and reliable and the 357 Sig addresses the modern world. My son has one and I shot his well and I put in does and supplies when he got his.

Lucky for me supporting the gun club by buying gun raffle tickets left me with some nearly unshot and unwanted things to dispose of so basically it's a free handgun.

It's a solid and reliable pistol and one of my favorites!
