| got a GI M17 slide and a non manual safety FCU plus a Trijicon MRO (would need low mount) sitting around. Is the Flux still a viable option now or has it been shown to be a $$ hole? I think it would be fun but not sure how far that goes. |

Some guys get tired of repeated threads but some old threads get so side tracked that the info gets lost AND the search mechanics here are difficult to manage. Regarding the FLUX, I think its a great option if you want a concealable PDW. Its a good laptop bag gun for back and forth the work or those times when you know you should be a home but just have to run out for something. It would be the gun that I took to the park when my kids were young enough to want to play at the park, if I was concerned and needed more than just a handgun. I dont think it replaces a full size SMG (MP5, Scorpion, Kuna) type weapon for serious Urban fighting; but its certainly better than a handgun for fighting. |

I want to get a Flux chassis to stick my Sig 320 (M18 military clone) into. But it has a thumb safety and it needs to be removed to work in the Flux. I want to keep it in the military configuration set up as it's the only reason I bought a 320. P320 LE trade ins are getting really cheap, so I may go that way. I really don't need another 9mm pistol, but the Flux is interesting to me. I can absolutely see the value in having something like that. Back when the defund the police protest were going on, they set up one about a mile and a half from my office. It was by the police station and they separated them on either side of the street. It was my normal route home, but I went the long way around to avoid it. Nothing happened and it really turned into nothing. I didn't want to leave a long gun in my car unattended as I drive all over for work. My pistol was carried daily, but I'd much rather have something bigger and be able to take it into the office. The owner of the company actually started asking the other gun guy & myself about selling him a gun. I was actually going to give him a spare shotgun I had as he said he had shot one in the past. He gave me a free pool pump worth $800, so I figured I could spare the $150 spare shotgun I had to return the favor. The other gun guy brought in his full rig in his go bag to show off (AR pistol, plate carrier, NV helmet rig). The owner freaked out and said to never bring in a gun into the office again. Me and the gun guy did the meme where we looked away and back at him. So we went back to usual and I didn't give him the shotgun. That fool had guns around him for years and he never had a clue. I'd bring in a broken down 10.5" AR SBR in a backpack pretty regularly afterwards just to joke with the other gun guy. He would in return hip thrust his AIWB carry gun. |
