[ARCHIVED THREAD] - I just bought a DE .50!

I decided to buy a gun for me as I havnt bought a firearm for awile..I had it down to three choices or 43 (sensible as I will use it every day) a Remington charger (sensible as it will take a can well) and the most useless gun ever created a DE .50

My buddy with the DE called and said he was ready to sell black gun, two extra mags and a shoulder rig holster along with 300 rounds of ammo for $1500

I don't think I did too bad, what's the hive think?

I don't have one but it is one of those guns I think I'll end up buying at some point. It isn't because it is practical or anything, you just have to laugh at how crazy it is. The fireballs the 50ae can shoot are nuts. Same goes with the SW 500 revolver. I have no reason for one, I think it would be fun to shoot every once in awhile though.

That's a good deal though with the ammo & the mags. I'm still saving to get the regular barrel for mine. I have the 10" barrel & it's just too heavy. It gets a lot of looks at the range.

I have one and just added fiber optic adjustable sights. I love shooting it. Someone gave me 250 pieces of brass that I use to load for it. I make some reasonably soft shooting 335 gr rounds.

I love mine.

And you can say it is impractical all you want, but find something that is effective cover against one.
