Normally, nothing. I don’t live in an area that has trash people and all my neighbors are armed to the teeth with lots of evil black guns, so it’s very safe out here.  If I’m out in bear/wolf/moose country I’ll have an underfolder AK, which is everywhere around here.

Variety is a spice of life. For me I carry Glock 21 Glock 43x Hk p30 Hk USP 40 S&w 9mm OG shield Springfield LW Operator in 45 ACP Springfield 4.0 echelon And for local trips with in 5 miles a S&w 642 I work for a company that does repairs inside people’s homes, so most of the time my carry pistol of the day sits in my back pack inside my work vehicle. |

OP have you put yourself on a timer and shot a defensive drill cold to see which platform you shoot the best? I get our hobby is fun and these tools are mostly carried vs used. But if you are behind the power curve and your wife is standing besides you which weapon do you deploy and shoot the fastest with most accuracy. You have 4 different grips, sight pictures, & triggers in your striker fired group. Are you going to rise to the occasion? or fumble to the gun of the day? I give credit to the G perfectionists because the g26 points just like the 19 or 47. Can even bring the big mag as the back up. Don't care if it's irons or dots. Just so you don't think I'm picking on you specifically: I just did a demo on a training day. Had the RMR HD on an x5 legion 226. Was searching for the dot on a Duty OWB holster that would take me a second to 1.5 to micro adjust the dot on drills. It sat higher than the Romeo X sig lock pro I had trained with that sits lower on the slide. I reminded me how perishable the skills are when fractions of seconds count. Going to do a drill cold you know you ar going to a fight. It shows your base level of actual skill. Now walk into a drug store and catch a gun in your face saying give me your wallet now. Same spot? same style of carry? Same sight picture and trigger break. I switch up guns too because it's part of the hobby. It's part of the enjoyment. It's part of the fun. But I try to make my carry pieces as close as possible to each other. Or I spend a few days dry firing to get up to speed when a change is planned. I fully understand the question and I hope all of us only carry our ccw to Valhalla comes. But what if you won the bad luck lottery tomorrow and the flag flies? I wish you luck no matter your choice because at least you too have brought your ccw to the party. Cheers! |

It always depends on where I'm going and what I'm doing. If concealment is the main concern: OG Shield 9 Shield 45 with 3.3" barrel Shield 45 with 4" barrel If concealment is not primary (still concealed but if you know what you're looking for you might spot it): 3.6" M&P Compact 9 CZ P10C CZ P07 I have other stuff I can carry, but those, like my CZ75B's, are only carried if I'm just here at home and not going anywhere. |

I swap guns like my wife switches purses and shoes. It ain't the arrow, it is the Indian. If you actually train with your guns, no matter how different they are, you can use them. Some days I'm carrying a USP, other days it is a S&W revolver. Then I get an itch to carry a Beretta 92 or a SIG P220. After that a 1911 or a Star PD 45. Sometimes I grab the Colt D-Frame or even a S&W top-break. Currently what I've been lugging around.  S&W Model 625-3 wearing a set of Craig Spegel N-Frame frame round butt boot grips, loaded with Speer 200gr .45 Auto Rim, and a custom knife given to me by my good friend John Crump. Plus, the usual, wallet, keys, and cellphone.  Yes, the revolver god himself blessed my 625.  |

Usually 5 or 6, but when I buy a new one I usually put it into the rotation for a little while to see how it works/feels, sharp edges, etc. Usually: High power, 1911, 357 revolver, Glock, Sig 226/227/228 |
