Christmas?  They drop this right at Christmas when all of my disposable income is being spent on gifts for my kids, wife, and everyone else?

Almost $3k for pistol with no brace, lrbho and $50 mags? No thanks I’ll keep using my Glock mag lower with all that plus cheap mags for $600.

2 weeks after I bought the PTR.
Amazing.
I'm ok with it. The PTR has a rail, a brace,  and is sear ready.
Still though, these bastages!

This was probably the second posted on the site, only after the one in PCC.  This forum is also dedicated to HK handguns, which is what the SP5 is.  And last, this isn't GD.

Irony is yes this was probably the first thread in the correct forum. But threads in GD, as well as several in armory predated it by weeks. Such is the way it works here

Probably fits best in PCC under Armory anyways, just as most don’t discuss the CZ Scorpion in the CZ handgun area. Either way, I linked the other thread so folks who stroll on in here can get caught up if they want.

I actually found it on DVD. Terrible to watch today, but still a classic!

It will be worth twice that.  Look at the price of SP89s.

Its not comparable to SP89s, its a new release that will go along the next boatload of SP5Ks.  People spending over MSRP now are going to be full of buyer's remorse this spring when they're sitting on shelves at $2399 or better.

Based on the rate of past SP5K imports, the only way they’ll be on the shelves at that price is if Trump wins again and a good 3 months after the election. I’m not taking the chance and waiting until 2021.

Trump's got 2020 in the bag, all the discount sites will be selling these at cost in a few months.

Meh. I have an SP-89 at TSC now and will buy an HK94 or SP5 soon. I’m glad to have MP5s back.

Two months for me

I do like the PTR. For ~$1k cheaper and it came with the brace. Maybe some day on the SP5 but the PTR is scratching the itch.

I'm hoping to pick up one when the prices come down to $2800/$2900...  Not willing to spend $3300 to $3700 for one at this point.

I'm old enough to remember when HK-94s were selling for around $700 back in the mid 80s...  Should have jumped on one back then, but  I went with the HK-91 and HK-93.

Ended up buying a used HK-94 back in 2005/2006 for $2500.  After returning from the Sandbox in 2007, I picked up a used HK SP-89 for one ass raping price, which I don't even like to think about anymore.

I bought their SP5K last year for $2150, which came with a brace. Once I pick up a SP5, I'll most likely SBR both the SP5K and SP5.
