Sounds like a 10/10 to me! |

OPF-G6, RMR is headed to production. We have sufficient sample size CMMed and are comfortable with the new tolerances the ORS pocket is holding, our own tolerances (some as tight as 0.0005) match nicely with the tighter ORS tolerances. Attached File |

It becomes repeated so often, it becomes "truth". Reality is I have three of them. One is a very early production unit that has seen an untold number of rounds on a Glock 19, the other is on a Staccato with an untold number of rounds through it, and the third is still pretty minty with less than 1k on a Glock 17. Not a single issue with them. They are ugly and big, but they work very well. |

HOWEVER, it seemed like it was an earlier run and limited in scope. Unfortunately, part of my job is recommending people spend their money on stuff that works, so when I hear about agency issues, I have to pay attention. Good news, it does not seem like an ongoing and or widespread issue. I'm actually considering grabbing another one now that FCD has a plate in the works for it. My current ACRO is on a AP5-P. |

2000rds down range so far, gun dropped half a dozen times, RMR HD looks like it's got a drinking problem and has had a rough life, multiple checks on witness marks and zero confirmation. While we wait for the first small batch of production OPF-G6, RMR to arrive, we will keep putting rounds down range. The QC check list is two pages long, ORS optics pocket on our sample guns are showing tighter tolerances than MOS, which enables us to better use tighter tolerances. |

I just picked up a G17 Gen 6 at Cabela's today. Attached File 17 Gen 6 factory spring cups. ![]() I don't have any spares. Attached File The trigger is 3 lbs 10 oz with a 4.5# Wolff striker spring and factory minus connector. It was around 6 lbs out of the box. Attached File When it warms up, I'll shoot it. |

They use maritime cups now as Glock got rid of the polymer channel liner. The liner dimensions are still there, but they milled the channel liner dimensions in, rather than using a separate polymer sleeve. There are quite a few little things changed on the Gen6 that aren't talked about. TXPO |

| I am an FCD loyalist because of my experience with them thus far, but Nameless Arms and Danger Close Armament seem to be doing some good work developing plates for the G6 also. |

Second plate and second RMR HD, it'll continue to have more rounds and drops. Initial zeroing (zero adjusted on RMR HD after the two shots at 6 o'clock) Attached File 1150 rounds later, 7 drops on a rock. Attached File No movement of the sight or screws, no zero shift. |

The trigger bar # 39701 is the same as gen 5. If you really don't like the flat trigger, it's easy to swap it out. Attached File Attached File Attached File I don't really feel much of a difference while pulling the trigger normally and obviously the pull is the same. The safety on the flat trigger shoe bugged me a bit because even when pulling it straight back, it had some drag such as you might feel by pushing sideways on the trigger shoe or by intentionally pulling the trigger back as far as you can and then rolling your finger onto the safety so you can feel it. I don't ever do that of course, but that's the best way I can describe what my particular flat shoe felt like while pulling it slowly...which is also something I don't really do. I can't feel it while pulling the trigger the way it is supposed to be pulled. Attached File Attached File There is something to it that I can't see, but I had no plans for the factory flat trigger other than adding it to my parts bin as soon as something better came along. I guess it just got there a bit sooner. 🤔 Attached File |

Attached File A few swipes with some 800 and 1000 grit fixed it. Attached File |

OPF-G6, RMR is in production, we will see the first small batch next week. ACRO plate was developed first for SHOT but we had to make some changes to the plate to better accommodate M4 screws tolerances, the engineering was done but since we went to RMR next and just continued pushing through, RMR will be in production first. Tangodown's ACRO plate will be shipping sooner than ours. We've worked with TD on the R1 (revision 1) footprint, reinforced locking bar and battery cap, our Gen 6 ACRO plate designs are a bit different, but TD doesn't mess around with material, tolerances and screws, their plate will be very good as well, and we'll be carrying TD's Gen 6 ACRO plates alongside ours when OPF-G6, ACRO comes out. |

Originally Posted By Cooper1: Interesting. What was the original purpose of having a liner vs just milling the channel? Honestly, I don't know why, other than possibly just having a polymer on polymer surfaces running against each other, Glock thinking when the pistol first came out. Glock has had enough experience with polymers and their wear characteristics, they probably deemed the polymer on polymer requirement unnecessary at this point. Time will tell if this will have a lower service cycle than the original polymer channel liner setup. TXPO |
The first small batch will go to dealers and LE back orders first, we will save a few for ourselves, but dealers usually get to sell them first ![]() Originally Posted By Vigildom7: Oooooohhh does that mean a small batch of RMR Plates is about to hit the site? All of our OPF-G6 plates will have the rear pocket to engage the rear locking tab in the back of the ORS pocket (in front of the rear sight). This is the plate that went through 1000 plus rounds and dropped 5 times, another gun has 1500 rounds and counting, dropped a dozen times (and counting). We continue to drop test guns on a hardened surface but at this point it's for our amusement, the abuse we put them through far exceeds that from normal usage. It'll work with all Trijicon RMR footprint sights as our Gen 5 RMR plats. The first small batch is headed to nitride this week. It's taken as long as it has to, the QC check list is 2 pages long of dimensions and tolerances each plate is checked against. There are lots of places where one could cut corners, we have never done it before and won't do it now, and these plates being thinner than before, they require lots of additional QC. There is also date codes that indicate the batch, not individually serialized since it's unnecessary but this the length we go to with them for traceability. One of the plates from the first batch, still in the white (17-4 SS) before they go to nitride. Attached File |

Not that anyone gives a shit but - I watched this the other day - ![]() Gen6 Glock 17- 6,000 Round Review At the end of the video he says if you have Gen 3-5 Glocks with modified grips you could sell them off, buy and buy a Gen 6. I handled a 45 yesterday. I agree with that. It fit my hand nice. Does not feel blocky at all. I am going to make the switch from my Gen 5's to Gen 6's. |
