After hitting a 1,000+ trouble free rounds I went ahead and built up the little G44.

I did the following work myself (besides the barrel coating)

Undercut trigger guard
Full frame stipple
Ameriglo sights
Polished and trued all internals
Sent the barre for Titanium Nitride coating at Titanium Gun who did great work.

I think it came out great. This one has rekindled my love for 22 LR pistols and plinking in general.

Is it possible to get it milled for a red dot, or is the slide plastic?

I have absolutely no need for a .22 Glock.  I've never owned a single .22.  I really think I will be buying a Glock 44.

It is plastic, not sure if it could be done, but I am sure someone will try before too long.

Same here, I have only one 22 rifle for plinking. I have to tell ya though, shooting all day for like $20-30 is NICE! Ringing steel is just as fun with this little guy.

I have quit counting at 2200 trouble free with my G44 (all CCI Blazer).. I changed to a fixed rear sight, and am still working on getting the front sight post cut down for POI/POA... I'm pretty close...

Just went past 3,000 rounds without any issues to speak of other than newbs not loading the last round correctly. Gotta’ tip that last round nose up and they run flawlessly. I’ve had like 2-3 stove pipes too. I’ve used everything from crappy ammo to high velocity stuff without issue. I cleaned after the first 700 but not since. Time to clean it again.

I love the gun, it is very accurate and stupid light.
