Just thought perhaps some of the collectors here may be interested, stumbled across this on Armslist. Not mine, nor do I know the seller in anyway

He likely want's 3 times what is is really worth if he thinks a manual is worth $500.

I should offer to swap him for a Lorcin.

People laugh at that idea, but I’ll guarantee in 10-20 years Gen1 Glocks will be serious collector items. Much like pre-64 Winchester’s today.

I picked up a Gen 1 17 on a trade deal. It's frame was extremely worn and the slide was also worn. It had no box or original mag. I did not need it and threw it on Gunbroker. It brought $950. They definitely have some value. I would like to pick up a nicer one for my collection sometime, but not at those prices for sure. One will pop up for $300-$500 and I'll snag it.

I have a couple, bought and gifted one to a gun nut friend of mine.  A couple years later he was tight on money and used it for a prototype sight he designed where they milled the slide.  Later we were on a range together and he handed it to me to let me try the “up and coming sight”, I about died.  Oh well, FML, it was a really nice specimen too!
