I was hoping with the release of the MRD MK3 we'd see the availability of a threaded barrel. The FN Herstal release mentions the optional threaded barrel, but nothing on the US side. I like the co-witness with a regular size MRDS, and the superior egro's of the FN's FSN over the Ruger and M&P 57.

Haven't had a chance to watch yet.
What's better, MRD or Rock? |
The Rock has better ergos, and a lower bore axis.. I can shoot that thing pretty fast. EA is claiming the Rock's cam is weak, so I am not sure how that will play out.

So I’m looking very hard at the Mk3. How is the trigger? I have the S&W 5.7 and love that trigger and I’ve carried Glock my whole career so im use to a striker fired trigger.
Is the FN MK3 similar? |

No gun stores around me have a MK3 in stock for me to fondle. This looks pretty blocky like Glock 20/21. Are the MK3’s really that thick? What would you compare it too?
I don't have a 5.7 yet but in most of the comparisons I've looked at, the PSA Rock always looked the best to me.
The low grip on the FN looks bothersome to me. |

Can mk3’s take the mk2 mags? And are there any mag loaders for these mags?

Reliability wise. Does anyone have an opinion on FN MK3 vs S&W M&P? I myself have finally after thousands of rounds had a few stuck cases in my M&P and they were a bitch to get out. Obviously it’s a tool and machine and anything can jam up and not be 100%. But if the experts with more 5.7 experience then me say the MK3 is more reliable then I’d like to know. Thanks!

I've never had a stuck case in any of the FSN, Ruger 57, or Rock. Do you mean a broken off neck?
No. A stuck case in the chamber
wow I've never had that happen.

Well after no American eagle issues , the curse finally happened. I’ve had more than a few stuck cases in my M&P. No issues with FN ammo. Only American eagle. So that’s why I asked if you think the MK3 is more reliable then the M&P.

Well I will say in all the guns I've fired 5.7 in the last 4 yrs (10,000 rounds), I've never had a stuck case. 2000+ rds out of 1 MK2 and 1 MRD. Only 400 rounds of that is from the MP. My use time on the FN guns span over 10 yrs of use. I can't make any assessments like that on the MP yet..
