Ok freinds, I was out looking to blow my trump bux and hit a pawn/vinegar/crabby folks/gunshop.
And so, I bought my first hi power.

It has a T serial number, tiny little sites, one itty bitty scratch above the take down lever, ring hammer, small safety, one magazine, and now it doesn't have a mag safety.

So I have a few questions like what's the best highest cap magazine.
Does some one do site installation because I can hardly see the factory ones.  Is it worth doing new sites?
Somebody did file work on the rear site.

Is a two peice barrel the norm for these?
Will they take real 9mm loads or should I stick with boring 9mm ammo?

By looking at it, this thing hasn't had 500 rounds threw it.
The date looks like 69 or 70.
Price given was $700.

factory FN/Browning/MecGar.

Yes, there are numerous gunsmiths who can replace front and rear. But it won't be cheap. If you were buying as a "collectible", the T series is a good choice, but as a shooter you should have gone with a MkIII that has easily replaced fromt and rear sights. The T series front sight is pinned and welded, you'll destroy any collector value it might have.
If you don't like tiny sights, shouldn't buy anything less than a MkIII.

Yes, thats the way the FN factory made 'em.

+P will accelerate wear in a Hi Power faster than non +P.........but that's true for any gun. If you replace the recoil spring with a Wolfs you won't beat it to death.

If the condition is that good, sell it, get a MkIII.

If you see a date, it isn't a T series. Only the C series used a date in the serial# ex "69Cxxxxx" was made in 1969, a "72Cxxxx" made in 1972.

Thank you.
It's a T serial number no date.
Looked it up as 69=70 range.

Some body did some file work on the rear site and I may open it a bit more that it's been done.
Shot it today and regular 115 gr 9mm was close.
Couple inches low and the same to the right.
124 grain hotter reloads shot 4" right and started to bite the web of my hand.

I have been to lazy to do pics since photobucket broke the internet.
I'll see what I can do.

They are addictive.  Great buy.  I picked these two up for $1000 for both exactly the way you see them.

Yup...on arf.com as well. One has   Craig Spegal Grips, the other has VZ Grips

Grips came with them.

The seller joked about me getting a double shoulder holster for them ??
