These should start hitting shelves this summer, if they haven't already (hard to tell with the panic buying going on). I used to have a Model 94 stainless 3", and it was a great revolver. Having something lightweight that I could throw in a pocket would get a lot of use, especially with a street price around $275. S&W has the 43C, but it's almost twice as much, as is the LCR. DAO 22's usually have an awful trigger.

Taurus.  Maybe.

I have a blued 9 shot 5" that I absolutely love.

Probably a safer bet than S&W these days.

Yup. Front sight is pinned too, and they said they're working with Ameriglo on a tritium / fiber optic sight for it.

I'm in the market for a "heavy" 942 in stainless.  If it turns out to be a worthy revolver then I may pick up a light one as well.  I have come to the conclusion that when training my daughter and my niece to shoot, one can never have too many 22 revolvers.

I picked up a 942 about 1-2 months ago, fun little revolver. I was actually able to hit clay birds at 50 yards with it after figuring out POA/POI at that distance.

would be cooler with a 6" barrel

They list it also with a 3" barrel. 22WMR as well. Stainless or. black finish.

I've got an older Taurus 94 4" blued steel that is a wonderful plinking and training gun. It's a little to heavy for my walk about woods gun so I would be interested in one of these 942 UL! NOW if they had a model that was 22 magnum with extra cylinder fitted for 22lr. I would snatch that baby up quick!

is it just me or does the back sight look like hollow molded plastic?

im turned of of Taurus revovlers, picked one up at pawn shop for 175,.22 mag 2 inch barrel,  tried to get it to shoot, about 1 in 10 wouldn't fire, light strikes, talked to Taurus and got it sent back under lifetime warrenty. got it back 8 weeks later with a 20 lb trigger pull. but it was 100%. Sold back to pawn shop for 175.

Looks like they are vaporware at this point. I'm seeing the all stainless versions, but no ultra-lites. 'Rona might've delayed them. Brazil got hit pretty hard.

That might be interesting in .22 mag.
Shooting it without ear-pro would be brutal though.  EEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

I ended up just buying a S&W Model 63.  Buy once-cry once and all that.  It's a great little revolver.

I see it's a 2020 necro thread, but Taurus has been so slow at getting these to market in such limited quantities it might as well be a new release! Please let us know how yours runs.

Will do.  It was delivered yesterday, but I won’t pick up till Monday.  Plan on running at least 3-500rds through it next week/weekend.

Yeah. It needs a 4”, 5”, or a 6” barrel offering.

Just went out before dark and put three cylinders of cci minimags through it. What an awesome little pistol.. and best of all the wife likes it (it’s for her). Will get her out this weekend and run a bunch through it to get her comfortable.

Cool, thanks for sharing!  This one will live with federal punch in it, which it appears wasn’t in that test.

My MIL has the 4.5" bbl SR-22 w/ CCI LRN MiniMags - that SHOULD get her to 12", but maybe I should get her some Federal.  Have some 42 grn Eley for her as well, now that I have a Magnetospeed I should 3-D print an adapter & test all that.
