What do you use for wiping off your pistol lights after range time ?
The SF 300 gets a bit dirty in front of the Glock 19.

I use those bulk Zeiss lens wipes from Sam's Club.

Some guys here say they use Vaseline or lip balm to keep it from sticking in the first place. Haven't tried that.
I've seen guys tape the front up during extended daytime shooting sessions.

Have a bottle of this stuff, won't hurt poly lenses.
Not sure if it works better than anything else, but it does work.

I use isopropyl alcohol on a qtip or alcohol wipe.

Shirt. Paper towel. Rag. Would all be acceptable.

If you're worried about it zeiss lens cleaner and lens tissue is what I use on multi thousand dollar scopes.

For the lens by far the easiest is a pencil eraser.

Use electrical tape to cover the exposed bezel to muzzle.  Just peel off when done.  CLP on a q tip/brush cleans the glass or can use Mother's compound too.  Toothpaste also.

I don’t like frog lube for what it’s meant for but it cleans carbon off lenses pretty well

I put a light coat of Slip2000 over the top of the light head, bezel, and lens - all the areas that normally accumulate grime from the muzzle. At the end the range session, I wipe it off with a cloth, and it cleans right up.

My old wipe-down rag that's soaked with Slip-2000, Hoppes and carbon from various guns over the years.

My Surefire don't care.

Toothpaste, believe it or not. Regular white Colgate paste and some cotton swabs are your best friend when all other methods fail to remove the carbon from the lens of your light.

I put a drop of clp on the lens before hitting the range. Once done, I use a rag to wipe the carbon off

Another vote for Chapstik on the bezel and the lense. Grime just wipes off.

Pink eraser cleans the glass, isopropyl alcohol cleans the body.

Came here to post this.

Routinely I have people bringing me their weaponlights that are absolutely caked with crap to the point pencil erasers won't do the trick.

2 drops on a q tip and the paragon takes it right off.  Amazingly effective stuff.  Its pricey, but a little bottle should last years.  Do a majority of your cleaning with a few wipes and whatever you normally do, then clean up the stuck stuff with this.  Its legit.

If it doesn’t come off with an oiled rag I leave it.

And put clear tape over the lens, inspired by "peel offs" that the dirt track racing drivers use on their helmets.
