Good question.

I don’t have one but did just look at one when I was in the market at my LGS. It had the regular pinned on front sight, not the DX easy to replace version. I’ve looked at a bunch of Model 29’s and 629’s lately and I haven’t seen that sight offered on any new guns.
The one that Colt posted above is interesting. I haven’t ran across that one. Here’s my last purchase.  Attached File |

For what it's worth, the current image of the 629 Classic w/ 5 inch barrel shows a DX style front sight.
 The 629 w/ 6 -1/2 inch barrel shows the standard pinned front sight.
