I'm kicking myself for not jumping on them at $200-$225 a while back. Cheapest I see today is ~$350.

I’m sure they’ll eventually be back, but everything is way inflated right now.  I wanted one for my son to learn to shoot with since my Mark IV with suppressor is too heavy for him.  Smith and Wesson haven’t done any rebates this year, they’re selling everything they’ve got at full price right now.

Your Gunsmith isn't a gunsmith.

Honestly I think I’d get a Taurus TX22 over the m&p22c.

I loved my m&p22c but it spits a TON of carbon/shavings all over you when shooting suppressed and my sights kept falling apart.

The Taurus seems very nice and 16 round mags are a plus.

I have both, and I hate to admit it, but the Taurus is more accurate and cleaner. I have large hands, and it also fits a little better than the M&P.

Just to update this I got one from my local dude for $325 OTD with the thread adapter included. It is what it is.

I just put a used Compact on layaway at a pawn shop for $299+. It came with box, two mags, and thread adapter.

Based on the crazy shit that's going on right now, that's a deal.  Good job.

I just paid $550 for one off GB because I had to have it and everyone was sold out. Bud’s got one in two weeks later and they were also asking $550 so... /shrug. It’s definitely an over pay for anything right now but it is what it is.

Ouch really? I just picked up the TX-22 about a month ago for $270 from my LGS. I picked up 4 more 16rd mags and a factory thread protector from Taurus, a Forged Tec kydex holster and a Tk Fiber Optic front site and I'm still under $550 all in.

I have been looking for either a Ruger SR-22 or M&P Compact for months.  I just felt I wanted one to be able to shoot every now and then since I don't want to have to stress about 9mm.  I have about 13,000 rounds of .22 put away so I can shoot a little bit to keep some skills going.

Walked into a little LGS today and they had one SR-22 for $375.  I snatched it up.

I remember when they would come on sale for $200 all the time.

Oh well.

I have both as well.  I'd part with the M&P before the TX22.
