I was going to buy a S&W 27, and ended up with a 29 (that story is in the lounge).

The night before I picked it up at the LGS, he posted a Python Silhouette for sale in new condition, without box or papers. I couldn’t resist, we agreed on $ 2200 and I asked him to put it aside for me, and picked it up Saturday together with the Smith (and a SIG 210-4).

Here it is in all it’s glory

I like it.
I have no practical use for one but if I found myself owning it I would invent a need.
Didn't the one Mad Max guy load a single round in one of those and shoot something? Pretty sure he did.

Not quite, it was a S&W model 29 in .44 magnum

You're right, I guess that proves that the Post Apocalypse Aussie's don't have enough class to carry a Python.

Be interesting to see what that can do at 100yds from a rest.

Went to the 50 meters indoor range in order to sight it in

First 5 shots, looks like it set up for 200 meters with a slight crosswind

Then I noticed the mount was a little loose, tightened it and back at it. First correct the elevation

Ok but it’s hitting left

Right

Left again argh

Ok, looks good enough to me

Now I’ve got to practice some

I also took along a S&W 629-2 Classic Hunter with an 8 3/8 barrel and a Leupold variable scope.
