I've got an old Brigadier 92fs with a non railed frame. I use the EZ rail for my wml, but it makes it hard to find holsters that accept it as such. I saw the new 22lr version today and the price was really decent compared to buying a whole new 9mm version, so I was curious if the 22 frame could accept a standard 9mm slide?

I just checked the weight on Beretta.com. M9A1_22 is 26.08 ounces, and the 9mm M9A1 is 33.3 ounces. Nothing definitive there, but I think it's still plausible it could be done. I'll try to ask Beretta directly.

The M9A1-22's are made under license by Umarex and have a polymer frame with metal inserts for the slide to ride on.

I highly doubt even if a center-fire slide would even fit it would be a good idea to fire it. The rimfire frame probably does not have the proper tracks and cutout for the locking block either.

Ahh, I didn't realize it was a polymer frame. That would be a no-go then. Thanks!

Having said that, the Beretta (Umarex) M9-22 pistols are excellent guns.

They just won't work for what you want...
