Just curious what options and experiences are out there.
I have google and I see the safari land options just curious if anyone here is running something different and their opinions/feedback.

Thanks

Safariland on a QLS.  Mostly because the Safariland 6378 was free and RFI/CIF never asked for it back...

Safariland SLS or G-Code XST, though I prefer the Safariland.

If Safariland makes their RDS-compatible SLS/ALS series for the 92X/M9A1/M9A3 that'd be my ideal holster. They supposedly work fine with and without RDS mounted.

I have both Safariland 6034 (light-bearing SLS) and 3084 (adjustable velcro flap to fit multiple lights), neither works with the new LTT RDO because the irons are too tall and would allow the internal holster guide rails to engage with the M9 slide.

Best bet for an active retention holster, right now as of Sept 2020 is the Blackhawk Omnivore if you need something to work with an optic and light bearing.

I run a Safariland 7ts ALS with my 92fs and it works very well.  No flaps or straps to get in the way, retention is defeated with a simple swipe of my thumb upon drawing and positive lock up when re-holstering.  I use Esstac kiwi mag pouches that are outstanding as well.  I hope this helps and I have no connection to the aforementioned companies I merely use some of their kit.

For my RDS Berettas I’m using a modified 6034 or a custom holster from TR Holsters. Attachment Attached File

Safariland 6280-73421-131 with QLS and mid-ride belt loop for my duty belt.

I’m using this with an LTT Elite and x300u-b, but it should fit most railed models with a light attached (not sure about the beefier 92a1 or Brigadier models).

I used a bladetech level 3 with drop and offset for 3 deployments. I wore it on my regular belt most of the time since I always had my M9 on me and it would ride low enough I didn't have to reposition or switch holsters when I wore my armor. It would be great for a battle belt, I tried it on a Tactical Tailor battle belt my last deployment but the whole battlebelt thing didn't work for me since it was full kit for anything other than walking around the FOB.

Is it just passive/friction retention on the RGR or have you modified it to add something since you removed the SLS?

Was originally just friction but I also had a short piece of shock cord to serve as more positive retention for times when I’m running/climbing

@azerious58

Those are the G10 wrap around grips that come with the 92X series. They are for sale on Berettas website

Just ordered a safariland 6360 ALS/SLS lvl 3 from Amazon for my 92fs. My current setup is a 6360 for a 5" M&p 2.0, this will let me switch back and forth between the two using the QLS mounts.

Got to have options.

There’s no Velcro on the 6034s.  That’s a patch of cordura covering mounting holes on that side of the holster body (the holster is ambi)
