I just snagged a mint 1982 made Stainless 7.5" model for $475. I cannot wait to blast with it. Its a shame Ruger stopped making them. I stole this pic off the internet, because I dont have mine yet

I keep looking for one with both cylinders it's one of the best BP revolvers made, Ruger screwed the pooch when they stopped making them.

They’re really great guns.

I'm not into cap and ball guns but a stainless Old army has been on my want list forever. I don't know why but I really want one to shoot. It would likely be a gateway gun into black powder shooting so maybe it's a good idea I've never been able to acquire one.

I got a used stainless 7.5” with adjustable sights a few years ago used for $350.00 with a holster and a bullet mold. I shoot it every month or two.

Once upon a time, my grandfather bought one. He didn’t load it with the grease to seal the chambers.
BOOM! Click... 1,2,3,5,6 fired. 4 (under the frame) didn’t fire. |
