Found an archived thread on the AOM with questions about about G44 fitment and if the AOM has to be removed to change batteries on the Surefire X300U-A (which is the only weapon light compatible with the AOM).

1. Yes it is totally compatible with the Gen 5 frame. The lower plate is marked Gen "5".

2. There is clearance to remove the mounting screws without the need to remove the AOM.

3. It unfortunately shows "out of stock".

Additionally... the Vickers Tactical Slide Racker for Gen 5 WILL NOT fit the G44 even though it is a Gen 5 frame. The rear of the slide is wider and profiled differently than standard centerfire slides.

I have never even seen this optics mount before, but it looks neat(but not $300 neat ), if not a bit to bulky for any CCW work. But would seem like it would be great for competition stuff because of the nonmoving red dot.
