26120, I am very sorry I did not get back to you sooner, I was away for a while and this is the first time I have been back to the forum. As for the Compact, First it has a Wilson combat 2-pc. FLGR and I am using Wilson low profile 7-round mags. It has fired approx. 1000 rds. so far, about 1/3 Win. white box 230 FMJ's and the rest split between 200 gr. SWC & 230 RNL hard cast. The most accurate being the 200's. Not One failure of any kind... Hope this helps. |

Nice. I`m doing something similar with my 1991 ORM. I had Duke Nukem replace the hammer with the early WW II style and the arched mainspring housing. He the refinished it with a gray park like Norrell`s finish. I`m just waiting on the plastic grips. |
I figured it was cheaper than buying a WWII re-pro. The only thing is that the frame "Parked" lighter than the slide due to differences in hardness. You won't run into that problem with Norrell's. I may change some things later on like the mag release, slide stop and thumb safety to give it a more authentic look. |

 I've had this one for quite some time. Love the gun, hate the sights. I thought adjustable sights were cool, but now I wish I had something foolproof. It's broken the roll pin that holds the sight in place twice, and now the little pin that makes the windage adjustment go "click" is starting to come out also. Weird. |

OK I've been goofing with some pix, Here we are. Photography is an art in it's self...and one I haven't mastered though I 'spect lighting has alot to do with it. One thing's sure, I'm looking at adding some additional Colt's to the collection.  Here's a retro version...
