I carry Glocks and others in the same way, AIWB holster for 3 oclock carry for my 43x/CR920 etc. Some of the kydex holsters might have micro adjustment so that they are not perfectly 0° but very close. |

stage 1: EGW extended guide rod, really only for the flat recoil spring, EGW slide stop, VZ thin double diamonds. Much more to come like EGW thumb safety and Harris hammer, trigger, sear, disconnector. edit - almost forgot, also these hex drive grip bushings, they're great: Challis grip bushings I'm thinking about putting the Emissary U-notch sites on it if Springfield will sell me them. If anyone has take offs they don't want please let me know.  If not familiar, this is what those Emissary sights look like. Definitely not a target sight but I like shooting with them.

Picked this up with Primary Arms recent demo guns sale. Orginally described as a stainless milspec, but pictures did not match.  20260812_170603 by B A, on Flickr 20260812_170544 by B A, on FlickrThey updated the description and kept the price at $750  Old markings Operator, came with those nice black grips, slide cut for trijicon optics plate. Haven't really dug into the internals to see if theres more work been done. But its unfired other than possibly factory testing. Gun is super tight, trigger is very crisp and clean. Have a 407Comp on the way. May end up having the front strap checkered, its very slippery. |

Man, this has to be the nicest 1911 I've ever handled. Attached File We put 150 rounds through it today. It has a 6 o'clock hold, but easy to get used to. My buddy bought it and another from the same guy. Sequential serials and both are Rob Scheuland-era builds. |

I took the new Springfield Ronin AOS Commander (That's a mouthful) in .45 of course out to the back forty and ran a few mags through it and it functioned fine, as expected. As soon as I get some free time I'll take it to a proper range and do an accuracy check and put a few hundred more rounds of hardball and a hundred HST's before I start carrying it. One odd thing I noticed was that it is an extremely tight fit in holsters made for Colt Commanders. Tight to the point that some stretching was in order to make a decent draw possible. The holsters I tried it in were made by Privateer Leather, TT Gun Leather, Warbird Gun Leather and Simply Rugged. All holsters were OWB pancake types. I'm not sure what makes it thicker/larger than any other Commander unless it's the AOS system on the slide. |

 Going through my closet and found this. I don’t even have a 1911 or anything in .45 anymore so I have no clue how long it’s been up there. There is a guy selling a 1990s Springfield Champion GI locally for $425, debating on picking it up but it’s made in Brazil. Thinking about grabbing it to shoot this ammo up.
