So I was swapping fresh springs on my TRP and it didn’t occur to me that this was an ILS mainspring housing till I was installing the new one. For ILS guns, can you just replace the mainspring, cap, and add the retaining pin? Do you actually need to remove the lock? The gun test functioned fine but I didn’t know if I might have issues in the long run. Attached File Attached File |

I really like the Crossbreed reckoning holster for my Shield +, so bought one of their overstocks for a 4" 1911. Of course they don't offer any in commander size. I trimmed a little off the bottom and now the Baer fits. Definitely not a pretty hack job, but it works. I do prefer their horsehide vs the cow hide, but I'll see how it works out. Attached File |

Took my mom (sorry, no photos ) out the range today to shoot her new carry gun and put some rounds down range on the Dan Wesson. She is now a fan of our lord and savior, sir 1911. Attached File |

My mom is 66 and did well today. Even did a mag of 45 through a 1911 like a chnmp. With that said, her new EDC is a S&W Equilizer due tot slide being way easy for her to rack vs her sheild. |
