Got a of the Jacob Grey TWC9 in at work. Doesn't seem bad, not a huge fan of it. Something about it feels kinda off, I can't put my finger on it. Attached File |

358 first rounds on my brand new P. Not one single issue. This was using Staccato, Atlas and Tisas mags. Ammo was S&B FMJ 115gr. 75g SB9A. If I make it to 1K after having only added lube at the 500 rnd. point, I'll probably become an annoying fanboy. Attached File |

Pick up my first 2011 right at a year ago - stumbled across a "used" (it didn't appear to be shot at all) comped C2 at a local shop where I happened to have some store credit to burn. Attached File I was blown away with the accuracy of the C2, but wasn't in love with the G19-ish grip size since I have big-ass hands. Figured for that kind of money I should get one that "fit" me better. So I traded the C2 for a P that had been worked over by Vulcan with the previous owner. Add the SRO, swapped out the grip for a MJD done up by Boresight Solutions and added a Red Dirt trigger I snagged off EE. It's been fantastic through the 700+ rounds I've put on it in the last couple of months. Learned a whole lot (like I could have swapped grips on the C2 ) installing some of the parts/changes.Attached File Attached File Attached File Right at a month ago I was walking through the gun store on my way out from the range and saw a 4.25" Prodigy - thought it looked cool and I liked the weight of it, so I bought it without knowing much of anything about them other than the mixed reviews that were out there. Figured it would be a good range toy to split time with the P, and if it needed some tinkering I would rather mess around with a $1,500 pistol than a $3,000 one. As it sits today, I've got right at 1,200 rounds through it - not so trouble free. Most of the issues have been failure to return to battery, which I blame mostly on the amount of cerakote that wears off this thing. I'd put 200-250 rounds through it on a range trip and clean the shit out of it for about an hour. Lube it like a dirty AR and have at it again. It got a lot better around 500 rounds in, and other than about every screw not wanting to stay tight without some kind of threadlocker, did pretty well up until the 1,000 round mark - then I started getting some hammer follow. Did some tests, watched some videos, and tweaked on the sear spring some yesterday. Also mounted up the 507Comp. We'll see if I fixed the problem or made it worse.... Attached File All that said, I love how the Prodigy shoots - actually slightly prefer it as compared to the P. If I get some of these demons worked out of it I may see about throwing a little money at it to make it more reliable, but the whole point with this purchase was to not spend a bunch on it. That plan hardly ever works out for me, lol. |

The vortex, while a 6moa like my RMRs, is not an RMR. It's meh, but then again, it's $225. No issues with feeding or ejection. Passed the 10-8 ejector test, all empties in the very same spot....in fact, I bet I could have placed a bucket there, and had them all go in. It doesn't feel like a 1911, except for the recoil impulse and cycling of the action. Accuracy was great after the initial sighting of the dot. Sight in was done at 15 yards, today's shoot was all at 20, as there were other shooters at the range, and limited target stands. The six-pack target was all offhand, the two on the left were the last ones shot at. Attached File This was a 50 yard shoot. To be honest, my eyes couldn't even see where I was hittin' [don't know why the pic formatted upside down] So I'm pleased with it for the first 75 rounds. Attached File |

Added an Atlas trigger to my XC. Not sure it really makes an improvement. It looks cool I guess. I may go back and locktite the trigger onto the bow, there's a little side to side and up/down wiggle. Pretty consistent 2lb 5oz pull on my gauge.

And yes, unless you change out other parts, your trigger break will not change one bit. For me though, the extra length really helped as it keeps my trigger finger at 90 degrees all the way through the press. I also set overtravel to my preference when I did mine as well, since Staccato is pretty generous at the factory setting. |
