I like it. It's pretty soft shooting using Titegroup and 180-200 grain bullets.

Well done.

Atlas is on my list of guns to buy.

Played with an Erebus and couldn't believe how smooth the action was.  It was like the slide was rolling on ball bearings.  Virtually frictionless.

I've been trying to decide if I want a lowly Staccato for months now and you just go all in.  You were not fucking around.

Very, very nice.

Haha yeah sorta jumped straight into the deep end. I haven't handled a Staccato but this thing is absolutely incredible. I'm an HK guy through and through but being exposed to the 2011 world is an eye opener.

I reached out to an FFL just to ask some questions and he said a buyer for an Athena fell through, went in the next day and did the deed lol.

For better or worse.. I always just buy once cry once..

Going to be zeroing with some 124gr Syntech Match tomorrow.

After having an atlas, the only reason to go to staccato would be for their C2, poly grip aluminum frame carry 2011. It’s lighter than atlas ares which is their aluminum frame and grip “carry” gun.

Other than that you have one of the best!

After 1.5 years another custom from Nighthawk arrived last night.  At first they told me no but I heard Bob could make anything happen so I reached out to him and he did----the threaded bull barrel.  Normally though they offer both styles of barrel if you want threaded you get a bushing barrel.  I wanted this to run as a dedicated suppressor host.  I've only handled nitrided Nighthawks before so this is my first experience with their DLC which was pretty pricey.

I was surprised to see the long standing use of the green pistol rug is no more.

What's wrong with a bushing threaded barrel? Do you know why they chose the bushing barrels?

I prefer bull barrels--all my 2011s have them.

Also, with the bull barrel I can also put an EZ LOK on it and still disassemble the gun without removing the EZ Lok which I like to torque to 20 ft/lbs and leave.

They didn't have any "reason" for not doing it except they don't have an appropriate barrel made in house.  They bought this blank from Jarvis.

With my 59 yo eyes not getting any better, I RMR'd my daily carry RO.
This gun has been absolutely reliable for over 3 years now.
Went with the RMRcc, 6.5moa, on a CHPWS direct mill.  With no rear sight, I had them install the PMM independent rear sight in the RMR.
BOOM!!!! genius, problem solved.  Sight in the irons, and they are an inch high.  Got a plain black on the way, so that there is not two dots in the sight window.

New to me 2020 P. Stacc ports, atlas trigger, otherwise normal STI stuff.

TBD on whether this proves to be reliable enough to carry. I have doubts but would be happy to be proven wrong.

Finally got my P back after two months.  Sent the slide off for the Dawson comp, then sent the gun off to Vulcan for their steel grip and trigger job (pulls at 2.9 lbs).  I already loved the gun, but it's at another level now.  Weighs 46 ounces with the ACRO/X300 (no mag).  I put 5 mags through it at the indoor range to sight it in, but will be running 400+ through it at the outdoor range tomorrow.  Can't wait to see what it can really do.

That grip looks awesome man. Vulcan does fantastic work, I'm blown away by how "stock" the stacc ports on my gun look.

Thanks, can't give enough props to Vulcan for this one.  I've had them cut a 226 and DW 1911 for an optic and I'm about to send them a Shadow 2 slide.  The grip texture is damn near perfect.  Just enough to grab, but not bad enough to where it hurts (I might want it slightly more aggressive, but that's what I like).  I put about 350 rounds through it and it was fantastic.  Ran it next to my friend's XL and this is definitely better.  Has a better balance and the recoil is much better (the XL feels snappy when the slide returns to battery).  Also ran it next to his CZ Chechmate and I feel that they both had their pros and cons (but I'm probably biased lol).  I definitely need to shoot an Atlas now...

Did staccato update their rear sight mounting method?

Older plates had dovetails, these new ones appear to have something else.  What are they using?

Do you have any pics from the rear of the slide to show the overhang with the acro? It appears to hang over pretty good.

Haven't they always been?

Im just wondering why there's a hole in the rear sight now and no dovetail, where the old plates had dovetails and obviously dovetail rear sights.

Maybe I'm just confused like the guys who keep posting 1911 pictures in the 2011 picture thread.

New vs old.

They have 2 set screws and a raised block on the plate with little cones milled into each side. The set screws are point and set in the cones milled into the raised block. They allow you to easily center your rear sight, just gotta put threadlocker on them.

Source: I did this last night on my Staccato P.

Thank you!  Thats really slick, and way better than a plate in a dovetail.

If I ever had to make adjustments, I wouldn't trust the original in my sight press, and it was a bitch securing the plate in my vise to drift the one rear sight I got on a plate from them that wasn't centered.

Does the color mismatch in person or is it just the photo.

It’s intentionally mismatched by NHC. They can do one solid color but that’s pretty boring.

Ooh, plural dollar general staccatos. Mine has been great. Turned into a favorite quickly. Affordable enough that you don’t really care about it in any way other than how it shoots.

Just bought the XC, P, and C2 this week (It’s been an expensive week). After exclusively shooting Glocks for the last 30 years I can say there is a huge difference in accuracy.
