I recently purchased a DW Specialist 9mm for the purpose of getting it cut for an RMR.  I was initially planning on going with the Trijicon mount, as there are a number of companies that do the machine work for it.  However I dislike the idea of having night sights on the BUIS, and the Trijicon plate is only available with tritium sights.  While surfing around looking for other options I stumbled upon CHPWS.  They offer a similar plate, but with plain black sights instead of night sights.  Has anyone tried them out, or handled a 1911 that had been cut for this plate:  CHPWS 1911 RMR plate

I'd also like to solicit feedback on the Trijicon plate, for those that have gone that route as well, as I'm not completely against the idea.

CHPWS has a lot of negative reviews on this site. I have never used them, so can't comment on personal experience.

JagerWerks, Kalamazoo, MI is local to me and have performed magic with quick turn around times.

Dealing with CHPWS is a toss up. If you’re bored read this thread. Even if you ignore the issue the OP had, the number of other posters that chimes in with issues is alarming.

Jagerwerks is local to me too. They are awesome. However I don’t think they do 1911 cuts.

I’ve had good luck with CHPWS and their glock plates. Maybe I was lucky

I would call trijicon and see if they can help you out, last I know they do special orders on some things. I would ask them who should mill the slide for it too.

Thank you for the help, everyone. I decided to stick with the Trijicon plate.
